Which Type of Home Buyer Are You?

Buying a home is one of the biggest things you will ever do. It is exciting, a little nerve-wracking, and honestly kind of hilarious if you let it be. Over the years, we have noticed that most buyers fall into one of a few familiar types — and no matter which one you are, you are in good company.

So, which one sounds like you?

The Researcher

You have done your homework. You know the average price per square foot in every zip code, you have been tracking listings for six months, and you walked into your first showing already knowing the home's full history. You come prepared with questions, and honestly? Your agent loves you for it.

The best part: all that research pays off. You know a good deal when you see one, and you do not panic when the market moves fast.

The Visionary

You can walk into a home with outdated carpet and a questionable paint situation and immediately see what it could be. Where other buyers see a problem, you see potential. You are not buying the house as it is — you are buying the house it is going to become.

Your superpower is seeing past the surface. Just make sure to get a few contractor quotes before closing so the vision stays on budget.

The Family Huddle

Big decisions deserve trusted opinions, and you have never been afraid to ask for them. You might bring a parent, a sibling, a best friend who just bought a house last year. The people you love are part of this decision, and that makes sense — buying a home affects everyone under your roof.

Just remember: at the end of the day, you are the one who has to love living there.

The Careful One

You are not slow — you are thorough. You want to feel completely sure before you sign anything, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. You ask good questions, you sleep on decisions, and you want to understand every step of the process before you take it.

The best agents know how to work at your pace and make sure you feel confident, not rushed. That is exactly how it should be.

The "Let's Just Look" Buyer Who Is Totally Ready

You told yourself you were not serious yet. You just wanted to get a feel for the market. But then you walked into a house and thought, "I could see my life here." Turns out you were more ready than you realized.

This is one of the most common things we see, and it is one of our favorites. Sometimes you just need to see what is out there to know you are ready to go after it.

The Dreamer Who Found the One

You looked at a lot of houses. You compared, considered, and kept your options open. And then you walked in somewhere and just knew. You stopped taking notes. You started mentally arranging your furniture. You texted your mom a photo before you even left the driveway.

Trust that feeling. We will help you move fast.

No matter which type you are, buying a home is a big deal and we take that seriously. Our job is to make sure you feel informed, supported, and genuinely excited about where you land — not just on closing day, but every day after.
